Aims
To produce a concise, up-to-date tool which keeps its partners – companies and others – abreast of the company's various activities every month. The challenge faced by Nielsen was to choose the right content and the right channels to communicate it through.
Newsletter
Solution
Consumer Insight, Nielsen's monthly newsletter, is packed with interesting features and gives a complete overview of the company's news, including information, analyses and data regarding the company's main areas of interest. Thanks to MagNews, Nielsen now has a truly flexible way of managing the content of its newsletter, allowing it greater insight into its readers' requirements and helping it to satisfy them.
Results
Consumer Insight is sent to a database of more than 9,000 addresses and is forwarded to customers, journalists, people working in the sector and anyone who is interested in the company and has signed up to the newsletter via the web. It already has an extremely high readership of around 35%, which is growing all the time. The newsletters can also be found on the Nielsen website (www.it.nielsen.com) where they are posted after they have been sent.
Numbers
Since April 2009, Consumer Insight has been sent on a monthly basis to a database of around 9,000 subscribers. In December that figure was only around 6,500 = + 38% in just a couple of months.
